Bankrupt & Beyond

Options
So Jan 2019 I applied for bankruptcy.

It was A LONG TIME coming & the first couple of days it hit me, no more running. This was it, no more running, NO MORE RUNNING!! :j so far so positive yeah! Cue lots of 'Phoenix rising from the flames' type imagery ok

So this is my diary of the bankruptcy process, there'll be why's, feeling sorry for myself & what next and of course more debt busting as DH exposes his £££ debt :eek:

Look forward to reading this, i think you may find its not as all consuming as you may of first imagined, after initial contact with the OR, you most likley won`t hear from them again.

    Good luck.

Hi Annie35 welcome to the diaries board :D
As Sourcrates says it is not as all consuming as you may have thought... other than periodic review of your financial situation you're unlikely to hear much from them.
There are some differences between Scotland and England with regards to bankruptcy.
My bankruptcy process is referred to as sequestration, bankruptcy lasts for a year and you are then discharged from bankruptcy, the sequestration lasts for a further 3 years and then your trustee will be discharged and everything is resolved.

If you need any advice or info on anything just post up and someone will pop in to help ;)

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.
