Interest-Only Mortgages

Hi all,

A company has got in touch with me regarding an interest-only mortgage I once had. Is there any template letters I can use for this type of case (as per bank charges etc) as I really don’t want to pay this company roughly 50% of the potential pay out?

I arranged through a broker so is this still mis-selling? What is the success rate on these cases?

Thank you!

Regards

Nick

It was about 10 years ago, to be honest I don’t really know, it was the only affordable mortgage out there at the time but this company thinks I have a claim?

    They are trying it on!

Search on here and you’ll see lots of people have been contacted. You’ll be asked to continue giving them more money for your claim. Avoid!

Did you overstate your income or underdeclare your outgoing on the application form?

If the company thinks you have a claim, you need to use them and risk giving them 50%. Otherwise you need to read around the subject to understand what firms did incorrectly and then see if you can prove that you were not treated correctly.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.
