Thanks, SH and Tahlullah. I had no idea how good our land prices are compared to what you mentioned. I figured they were similar. And the lot comes with all utilities so DH and I are thinking it over more and more. We know what we want to do, it's just being able to finance everything, hopefully by ourselves instead of with a partner.

OP of $88.66 today brings the mortgage down to $14,400.00. I've managed to squeeze out of my leftover money in checking paying for my iron infusion last week, $150.00, topping off groceries with remaining $37.00 and will also receive $7.00 cashback on that grocery order from my bank, yes!!!, and $30.00 for takeout this weekend. Takeout budget is always the same but prices keep increasing so we have gotten creative on finding deals for the two of us. Power bill was $209.00 and I went ahead and did the budget billing to bring it down to $136.00. Now my power bills will be based on the average of what I pay a year instead of paying the spiked increases during the summer. That will give me a bit of breathing room as we have nothing but high 90s this week and next and I want to make sure I can pay my medical bills without feeling like I'm choking.

I'm going to experiment in the kitchen and try to make some Paleo cheesecake brownies. I already have the almond milk cream cheese and a recipe for coconut flour brownies so I should just be able to put them together and have a positively sinful, but guilt-free, dessert.

No, land prices are definitely not similar.  Land is just land and doesn't come with utilities, so that would be another cost for each of them to be supplied to the plot.  The price would be extremely inflated if it was a plot ready to build on.

The money shuffle is doing well, and the brownies sound wonderful.

99% done. I am so thrilled! I have two befores and the rest are afters. I know lemongrass color is not to everyone's taste, but it fits me to a T. Gives it kind of a gothic cottage edge, which is definitely me.

so dark and dated as all get out before.

Just have to finish details and may paint vanity a little more

Just got to get the pencil marks off the tiles and polish them up. I'm very pleased. It's like showering in a spa.

Wow!!  That is fantastic Leigh, and I love the colour.  You must be absolutely ecstatic!  Mr Leigh did a fantastic job.  I love the borrowed light above the bath into the outer bathroom chamber, everything is lovely!!  And the tiled seat under the shower is thoughtful for those times you just want to sit and feel the rain fall over your shoulders.  Enjoy!

Thanks, Savings and Tahlullah. It's beyond what I expected and I'm so stoked. Now the task is cleaning my bedroom from 4 months of construction dust  :s. The plastic protectors for my closets didn't do much so looks like 2 weeks worth of washing all my clothes, lol. I think I'll destress in the tub  :p

We've hit the food budget of 250.00 as we kept running out of things and having to restock. But we made it thru the 2 weeks right on budget and now it's time for the new grocery order. Ordered online, felt that I bought a decent amount of food this time. I can't stand when I spend a lot of grocery money but the fridge is still half empty. Well, things are definitely still super expensive. The total got up to 237.00. Luckily I had all my digital coupons on my card and they sent me a bonus of 18.00 off an order of 175.00. I'll take it. Total came down to 202.00 and DH will pick them up in a minute. That will leave 48.00 for the next 2 weeks to top off with extra fruit, a pint of ice cream for DH, some GF crackers for me and guacamole. Always need guacamole. 😁

Cashed in my little transcription work today 65.00. Not bad for literally typing for a few seconds on days while doing other things or on my downtime.

Our colleague closed on his property and will be paying us back on the 8th when the check clears. Hooray!! We are still debating what our next business move will be. In the meantime we have a small job on Monday and the upfront payment will pay for our payroll and the material. Right on time. I hate being stretched so thin with company money. Hope to get a rhythm going again soon.
