Payday today. February came and went and now for a 3-paycheck month of March. I paid the official mortgage payment and paid off my CC with the water, power, and anniversary present for my parents on it with my checking. Then payday was deposited and I will budget off of that as usual for everything else. I paid 426.00 to my dental surgery CC to get it down to an even 1000.00. Not much longer to go. Mortgage balance is $19,650.00. House maintenance/remodel fund received another $100.00 bringing balance to $3200.00. I have already ordered the clawfoot tub faucet in polished brass and the shower panel and DH is looking at the tile that I want for the floor. If he is able to order the tile, then I will be spending $1000.00 out of the fund, which is fine. I will still need shower wall tile which I haven't picked yet, the rain showerhead and the shower kit itself. If that eats up all my budget, I can wait on a new vanity and light fixture. It's not an emergency. I'm so excited. DH should start demoing soon as he has a few days off now between jobs and I have us budgeted for payroll through the end of March, so we're covered there. Of course, I just had him submit our business taxes, so we will see how much that will affect things, but if I have to, it will just come out of the business investment pot. It is what it is.
General savings received 100.00. Balance is now 5400.00. Emergency savings received its usual extra pennies and that now stands at over 4300.00. Overall, I am very pleased with all the savings pots as I feel we can enjoy upgrading the house while still living and paying down the mortgage. I'm just now slowly starting to feel better although I still keep losing weight despite eating more. It's very annoying. I'm down to teenager weight but I haven't felt the need to go to the hospital as I'm holding my food and fluids well, so I will keep monitoring it. Once business taxes are filed, I will file our personal taxes. I do believe we will get a refund this year as I estimated our income to be higher last year, but we didn't even come close, so we may be entitled to some monies back, which are always welcome and will go probably between paying down the mortgage and the bathroom remodel/home maintenance fund. Decisions, decisions.
Well, our experiment making a Paleo pecan date caramel cheesecake turned out divine, and it's calling me and I shall answer

Day 1 of living in a demolition zone. Hope it is going ok. And your weight loss, get it checked out. Some people would love to eat and lose, but its not normal. If that cheesecake couldn't add any weight, what can? What I do not give, you must never take by force.

Lol, Savingholmes. Yes. And I told him I'm not paying him either
Thanks, Tahlullah. I will have to go if this keeps up as my appetite is better than before and that cheesecake was definitely all healthy fats.
Thanks, MoneyforDreams. It's absolute chaos in the house but I love it.
DH is making chicken and then gets back to work. We have redesigned the bathroom 3 times and I think we found the right layout. My tub is 67 inches instead of 60so we might have to turn it longways instead of horizontal. DH had a colleague stop by who has done lots of bath remodels for some pointers and everything is looking good. I will try to do some more strength exercises today after eating chicken and see if I can sit outside for a bit. Our weather is already Spring-like for now and the vitamin D may do me some good.

OP of 20.00 to the mortgage today brings me to 19,630.00. Loving the progress. DH is hard at work on my bath. He's doing all the behind-the-scenes stuff of rebuilding walls, adding new plumbing, electrical, and nailing down the subfloor. Only bad thing is with the new configuration, I will have to downsize my vanity to 36 in from a 48 in. I think that's too small for the space and hope I can at least have a 42 in. Need the space for all my moisturizing products as I age
