Paying back Child Benfit

My husband recently got his Annual Tax Summary for 2017-2018. He has now exceeded the £50000 maximum earnings to get full Child benefit for both our children. He has only exceeded it by £2000 and I have no income as I am recovering from cancer. I now need to pay some benefit back I think? How do I work out how much to pay back? Thank you

Have a check on the calculator that there aren't allowable deductions etc. that would bring your ‘adjusted net income’ down.

As far as I can tell you need to register for a self-assessment tax return to pay the charge... but I think you had to register by last october for 17-18 tax year, so I'm not sure where you need to go from here.
