Looking for a broker

I would appreciate recommendations or guidance on finding a broker who is experienced in helping people get a remortgage when they have had past credit problems. I am in East Anglia.

In 9 months time our interest only mortgage comes to an end and we will need to remortgage as unable to pay it all off and lender is Bradford and Bingley who will not extend. Mortgage needed will be about £275,000 and LTV is low at 36% max as house value is £750,000. Due to my husband having a breakdown about 6 years ago, we had credit issues with large amounts of debt (£250,000 loans and cards plus £120,000 second mortgage) and then defaulting (no CCJs / bankruptcies etc and mortgage has always been paid on time). The final outstanding debts will be completely cleared in the next few weeks so this mortgage will be the only thing that remains and everything we earn can go towards it. I am nervous at getting a mortgage as the Noddle and Experian are showing low ratings for us and this may not improve sufficienly over the time allowed.

Can someone recommend a broker who can help steer us through this to ensure we can keep our home?

Thank you.
