A word to the (very
) wise:
I found what looked like a great idea, back last year, on the high street: peanut butter that is Christmas mince[meat] pie-flavoured.
It is manuf. by The Funky Nut Co. It was being sold at B&Ms - for £1.99. So looked like a great idea, for mince[meat] pie fans like our family!
Sadly it is a complete waste of time. There's NO taste of mincemeat filling at all (in my family's opinion)! It just tastes like an over-buttery/-oily peanut butter.
There isn't a jot of the lovely taste of currants, peel or spice.
(Presumably this might well be the reason it was being sold off at B&Ms!
)
So would not recommend this product to anyone.
N.B. I have just found an article on the item at:
B&M is selling mince-pie flavoured peanut butter for Christmas
Anybody else had a similar experience with other products?

Bought the Aldi Prosecco marshmallows  they were disgusting.

I found the same with Aldi's G&T flavoured crisps a couple of years ago - just awful.Bought the Aldi Prosecco marshmallows  they were disgusting.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Interesting that the items you have all mentioned are all seasonal items!
The manufacturers do seem to 'gild the lily' somewhat, with seasonal items. I can think of After Eights making a non-flat version of their mint choxolates. Sadly - as we hoped they'd be great - in fact these just tasted WRONG!! :-(
There are exceptions, fortunately; i.e. foods that ARE worth the time & money.
Interestingly, the 2 items that I can think of right now are also Christmas-only special issues:
(1) Poundland's version of white chocolate malt balls. These are DELICIOUS! :-) We bought these Christmas just gone (2018). Hopefully Poundland will continue to produce them, unlike the - sadly! - now discontinued White Maltesers item.
(2) Mr Kipling's Gingerbread [Viennese] Whirls. Again: delightful! However, Mr Kipling don't seem to have made them beyond the 1 year we found them (2015'ish).
It's a shame for the manufacturer to have gone to all that marketing time & effort, only to stop making them. :-/APennySaved

I got mince pie fudge from Aldi and it was delicious. I saw the peanut butter in B&M but wouldn't pay that price. Glad now that I didn't!Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...
