Cheese Scones
Comments

Definitely a great idea after a good dog walk, with a lovely cup of tea. Nothing to beat a nice tasty cheesy scone with butter.
I did a sour cherry and caramelised onion preserve for baked Brie on Christmas day. Leftover cranberry sauce would be good, as would many other chutneys/preserves.0 -
Can I suggest something else for leftover cheese?
Gently saute onion, celery and carrots or any leftover veg in a little butter. Make some breadcrumbs, about four slices worth, whizz up some shelled nuts ( I have used salted peanuts, whizz in the leftover cheese, any will do, cream, stilton, smoked. Mix everything together with an egg or two. Put into greased bun tins and bake for 25 mins.
Fab stuffing or mini nut roasts that are also delicious cold. Freeze really well and protein packed. Experiment with adding seeds and dried fruits. Or even leftover chutney.0
