Credit check after remortgage offer?

My basic question is this; once a lender has given us a remortgage offer in writing, will they conduct a further credit check prior to actually giving us the cash if there is a period of several months separating the offer and the cash?

To add a bit more detail:
- Fix ends on 31 July this year
- Would like to get remortgage offer done ASAP due to the car crash of Brexit and I see that several lenders make offers valid for 6 months so we could do that next month and it would still be valid when our current fix ends.
- Looking to replace car this year (preferably prior to it needing a major service and new tyres which will likely fall around June/July based on current mileage) and I will need a loan to do that which I will not be getting until we have got the mortgage offer.

Will the lender check our credit again after making the offer and see that I suddenly have a loan that I did not have when the offer was made?

If its a remortgage - ie moving to another lender - there is every chance of further checks.

Don't take out any credit between offer and completion.

Your replacing your car because your current one needs tyres and a service?

These are the things you need to budget for - I hope the property you buy has a newish boiler, kitchen, bathroom, windows etc.

Thanks, you don't state the knowledge or experience you are basing that on, but you're probably right and it's not worth jeopardising the mortgage application.

Nowhere in the post do I state that as the reason for replacing the car.
We're not buying a house, we are remortgaging, which is stated in the title and several times in the post.
Can I suggest you read posts properly before replying?
