parking 01 code

hi I parked on yellow lines that I have been parked before as they are nearly gone as hull city council have failed to maintaine them, I was also parked on the kerb due to the size of truck, I am an on call recovery operator and was on call last night and got a ticket, my truck laden weights 7.5 ton however unladen is 5 ton,,,if that helps
the council is hull city council and I parked near my home at 630 pm and was obsivbored from 837 to 845 pm. where do I stand or should I just roll over and have my belly tickled? and pay.
I might add it was only two months ago I went out to move the truck as somene told me the womble wardens where there but when I got there I was informed ok due to no signage and the yellow lines are mostly missing than there. thank/cheers

So, you knew there were yellow lines there and you parked partly on the pavement. You took the risk which you possibly do regularly as it is near your home. You should pay.

Shouldn't this be in the parking forum not the public transport one?
  • the parking forum specialises in PRIVATE parking tickets , not police/cousil , if the OP post there , or this post is moved to there , the replies will be to go to http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?act=idx (pepipoo) and register using a non hotmail address , post in the "Council Parking Tickets & Clamping and Decriminalised Notices" and be ready to upload both sides of ticket with name /number removed

that site will assist and help , if there are any technical or procedural faults

Issuing under Contravention Code would have stopped you questioning it:
61 A heavy commercial vehicle wholly or partly parked on a footway, verge or land between two carriageways Higher
