She is almost 22 but due to medical issues does not drink alcohol.

When i say we will all be gluten free there aren't many foods we all eat but things like crisps /home baking etc although definitely NOT the bread !

I've found the app a real help its easy to scan when i shop but it tends to crash mid way through i think i'm over working it .

    Thanks for everyone's input .

Do check the crisps as wa1kers belong in the 'may contain' category, but other brands don't. As someone said, you soon get to know which brands are safe. It sounds like all of you going gf is a good idea, as it will help your daughter.

It might be useful to look on the coeliac.co.uk website as it has some great info.

Its not clear from your post that you know with coeliac desease that whether there is a physical symptom or not your wife should eat no gluten whatsoever.

You know, I've wondered whether she is intolerant to just wheat, gluten or something else but she was definitely diagnosed as coeliac, although as mentioned she seems to be ok with certain foods & beer.

As for physical symptoms, she immediately feels extremely bloated within minutes and has on occasion, felt a restriction in her throat.
