Mortgage and zero hours contract

Hi everyone
,my husband and I are looking to move house, we have a mortgage, never missed a payment, my husband has a very stable job however I am on a zero hours contract.
We are wanting a slightly bigger house, will be be able to get a bigger mortgage for a new place or will my zero hours contract stop that.
I'm really rubbish with this kind of thing so any advice would be massively appreciated.
Thanks

How long have you been on a zero hours contract? If you can show what you earn on average over a long period it may help with the multipliers for the mortgage.0

Some mortgage providers can work with zero hours contracts. They will look at your payslips over the longer term so average out what you earn.
Beware of approaching high street lenders, they don't all like these types of contractI am a Mortgage Adviser

I was on two mortgages on ZHCs
All I did was to make sure I got as many hours as I possibly could for the three months pay slips they required0 -
Thank you, I have been on zero hours for about 14 months but always had work every week,0

With 14 months history on a zero hours contract you should have options.
I would give this to a broker as they will know the lenders that are willing to look at your income.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Me and me partner got a mortgage with Santander whilst he was on a zero hours contract but he did have to show them 6 months of pay slips. Good luck!0
