Ok, thanks.
Nice, so if you work less than a month - no notice is needed and the contract says no notice . needed if you sacrifice pay. So I have not done anything wrong.
Although, actually, by law they may actually be required to pay me? but even if they are required to pay me I am happy to have left without it, i am not in need of it and understand it's not great that I don't get paid, but it's not ideal for them as they will need to start training someone else.
As I say - they possibly got me to sign the contract before training was complete as they needed to be totally free from fault if I caused damage or injury to someone.
No, I was not driving the polluted car, it was one of my bosses cars.0 -
Any training clawback terms in the contract?0

Just so you understand for the future; if you're self employed - you do not have a boss. You are the boss.0 -
Sounds like a bit of an omnishambles. I'd probably just leave it, and if they claim you've breached the contract and try to puruse anything say you'll counter-sue for national minimum wage and report them to HMRC and they'll probably !!!!!! off.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. I am not concerned about getting paid, even if by law they should pay me.
,,,,Although, actually, by law they may actually be required to pay me?The contract states I can give notice and get paid or not give notice and not get paid.
So I am unsure how I have breached the contract. The contracts says I have the option to leave with no pay - Which is fine by me.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Because the training involved, for an hour, being shown the delivery route in a car which stank of dogs and tobacco - which was unbearable. It was so bad that my throat was sore. I could not face going in that car for another day. Also, the route was not accurately marked out on their delivery app and I was to be left to do this round on my own in the coming days in which I was bound to get lost.
Please do not take up any courier or driving job if that's a big issue for you. I've been in transport for quarter of a century and you're expected to be able to find places on your own. We all get lost from time to time no matter how long we've done the job but Satnav makes things a whole lot better than they used to be when I started. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
