A new Figure 8 contributor portal was announced last week; I registered last night, I prefer the new version, so far.

I was surprised to find that there are additional opportunities on there, examples are:

Market Research Jobs: There were at least 3 additional sets of 4.

Task 1338669 (Image Descriptions): I was able to complete more sets (30 now for $0.90, not the previous 10 for $0.30). The Elite task is still at it's limit and I had to complete a new set of 30 test questions, got 1 wrong (stupidly!) and achieved 97%, so I was able to improve my accuracy.

I think that is because they are closing that portal and you have to sign up to the new one. Cash out of the old one now else you'll lose anything you have. They are getting everyone to cash out, no minimum payment.

Sorry but I'm confused what you guys are talking about. I don't task much and when I do its usually quick easy tasks like the market research ones or the ask your smart phone a question.
When i click on clix the tasks tab is still there and minimum cashout is $10.
Where is the new contributor figure 8 portal?

Some of us are signed up directly with Figure 8 and access the platform direct, if you access through Clix I guess that the transition is invisible.

For those of us that are with Figure 8 (formally Crowdflower) Elite, we are being moved over to what Figure 8 call a "Contributor Portal", link below:

Initially the portal was introduced and moving over was voluntary, however, we are now being encouraged/forced to move, there are no jobs on the old platform at all and to ensure that people can withdraw balances there are no minimum limits imposed, I withdrew a residue of 20 cents, for example, when an unexpected bonus payment appeared. The new platform is not that different, same frustrations, more of that below.....

...I'm furious at the moment as was hit with a flag for one of those "Record Audio With Tone" tasks. I am pretty sure that it was one where, the system wouldn't transcribe the vocal. Needless to say, I don't actually know what I have actually done wrong and have lost a performance level. On this occasion, I'm so annoyed that I've not had a speedy response to the dispute that I have said I'm minded to to to arbitration, which the Terms of Use allow for, let's see...... :mad:

I doubt very much that they will be at all bothered but it was very therapeutic writing to them, I gave them 24 hours to respond.

Ah right I understand thanks I won't bother to sign up direct, as I don't task as much as I used to when things were easier and jobs were more interesting, plus I spent time on other things.
Sorry to hear about your flag, I had a major flag a long time ago that took over a month to sort, and I had a minor flag before that was just under ten days. Hopefully these days they are quicker
I haven't done that task perhaps reply to the message saying that you think the task had an error in not transcribing it correctly. I hope you get it sorted, its frustrating.

The above, task is worth doing, you need to get 4 of 6 test questions correct. You will be lucky not to get one wrong. The key is to read the instructions carefully to understand what an idiom is. The difficulty comes in identifying the phrases that are neither literal or an idiom, they sneak those in!

Once through the test questions it's fairly quick and easy to get through the other 80 odd. I've completed 2 sets of 83 over the last two days.
