Claiming Mileage

Hi all,
I currently claim my mileage to drive to the building site I work on which is roughly 28 miles each way from my house, 2 days a week I will do this journey from my girlfriends house, she lives 78 miles from my site,
Am I able to claim 78 miles? Or just the 28 miles and pay the fuel for the extra distance?
Any help is appreatied!!

Have you asked your employer, they pay the mileage so they will be the ones to answer this.0
