AIP/DIP does not mean anything, it is the full application which will given an indication if the lender is willing to lend.

    Good luck

  • As mentioned above the Halifax DIP is unlikely to pick up on whether you’ve had pay day loans in the past.

This is more likely to be checked at full application stage.

Our broker who is specialist in bad credit has got us an AIP with Halifax and sees no problem with using them for the mortgage, we are putting down 25% deposit, one payday loan on file in 2017 and have outstanding cc debt

How did you get on with your mortgage? I am in the same situation. Paid of a pay day loan last year April and just had a DIP with Halifax for 148,000 through our broker who said Halifax will be fine with pay day loans! Worried now after reading these forums.

Sorry but I got an AIP with the Halifax 2 years ago. Then, at full application they offered £10k short of what I needed because they wanted a £2k credit card paid off (go figure).
And I had NO adverse credit or payday loans!
Please don't assume an AIP means you are 100% guaranteed.
