ATL Training

Hi,
About 5 years ago i was roped into a electrician training course supplied by ATL training, which was funded by Caladonian Consumer Finance. Once i started the course i soon learned that it was terrible with no support, and then later (approx 3 months- upon visiting a careers fair) found out that it was not an industry recognised course.
I asked to stop the course because it was not delivering what was initial sold to me and after doing some research I am not the only person that this has happened to. I have spoken to citizens advice and they weren't much help at all.
I am now stuck with a £4500 loan from Caladonian for this course, that i am not able to pay back, I have paid minimal payments of £10.00 a month after submitting a Income and Expenditure form, I have then recently been told that i need to increase my payments after filling out another income and expenditure form and submitting payslips, recommend that i can pay £50.00 a month. They have now rejected my increase in payments.
I feel I am now stuck paying for a scam course and have this looming over my credit file and don't know what to do.
Please advise what i can do??
Also NEVER take a course out with ATL training THEY ARE A SCAM.

Can you prove that the course was misrepresented to you when you signed up for it?
For example, you have proof you were told one thing, only to find out the course was something different."Facism arrives as your friend. It will restore your honour, make you feel proud, protect your house, give you a job, clean up the neighbourhood, remind you of how great you once were, clear out the venal and the corrupt, remove anything you feel is unlike you... [it] doesn't walk in saying, "our programme means militias, mass imprisonments, transportations, war and persecution."0 -
This is unfortunately a very common problem.
What does the finance document say? Is it simply a personal loan?
Unfortunately any comeback against ATL looks tricky - I can see that the main director has had a series of companies wound up including the original ATL Practical Training Ltd and it is not clear who/how the current company is operating as "Ltd co" or "trading as" info is hidden.
Even if the OP does have a valid claim, looks like a good chance that the original provider wound up.0 -

You were roped in to do it ?
What happened, did they twist your arm ?
Nearer the time eg when you started or before, why did you not do research into the course ? It's what I would have done.0
