John Lewis Special Buys

Wondering if John Lewis 'special buys' are good value for money or is the quality usually lacking? Looking at an all seasons duvet at the moment specifically. Anyone have any thoughts?

Depends entirely on the item, what you are looking for and how it compares with their 'regular' buys. If you read the description, JL are getting much better at including an explanation of why it is a special buy and how it differs from their regular range.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

    John Lewis 'special buys'

Is the John Lewis ‘Sale’ on again? John Lewis is the only company I know that has to put posters up explaining what a sale is..... I suspect because (what appears to be) 99% of it is made up of ‘Special buys’.... whiffs of a con.

Anyway, reason I’m replying is that I got the regular king size JL ‘All Season’ duvet about 2 years ago and absolutely love it. So in that way it’s definitely a thumbs up. As to what the ‘special buy’ quality is like I don’t know. Best bet would be to go in and have a look and feel of it. Personally I'd pay the extra for the non special buy version but I’m like that :)
