HSBC Mortgage Application - How Long?

We've applied for a mortgage with HSBC and our valuation survey was carried out on Tuesday. Our broker said allow 48 hours for a decision to be issued. He also mentioned on Tuesday that subject to satisfactory survey HSBC has approved lending.
If anyone has applied recently how long after survey was your decision issued? How likely based on what our broker has informed us that all will be approved if the survey is ok? Will it already have gone to the underwriters for our affordability before the survey?
Sorry for all the questions. We've found our dream house and don't want anything to go wrong.
Thanks in advance.

Hsbc send a message to the broker once the case has been underwritten, the wording is something along the lines of :
Mortgage is now approved, subject to a satisfactory valuation.
So there is no reason to think that this hasn’t happened in your case if that’s what the broker has told you.
I would expect an answer within 48 - 72 hours.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
