First round pound of the year. Absolutely filthy so it's soaking in a shot glass of pickling vinegar before it gets handed to the bank next time I'm passing.
I'm finally taking it to the bank as m'wife managed to add another four round pounds last week. Her haul was £4.10; A$0.15; a Euro coin and 3.3 Renmiinbi / Yuan (For some reason Chinese currency has variable names...) SO over a fiver in one hit and that beats my record. I'd better send her wombling again.
I need to think of something new here...

I thought the thread had died so I haven't kept a tally this year.

One blow to my system is that Tesco Ireland no longer recognises Tesco UK Clubcard- from this month (and it's a big blow as I often collect 1000cc in 4 weeks)
It means I am going to have to join Tesco Ireland scheme, what a pain, the thought of wasting all those points makes me cringe!!.

I have had a few Morrison's points- but they are small fry...... better than nowt 'though

Well - I'm just mentioning the odd interesting find.

Turned out that the filthy pound coin was a fake and the bank confiscated it.

On the upside - I'm working in a new office this summer and I'm finding more abandoned McDonald's coffee cups with the bean stickers still on them:coffee:

    Hey everyone.
Just wanted to say thank you for this thread. Picking up receipts is something I've thought about for ages but now I know it's not just me I feel more motivated to do it. I need to find my clubcard though.. dammit!
Also interested to hear about the Fourex machines. Googled them and there is one 15 miles away, right next to the big recycling tip thingy. So I need to go there occasionally anyway, I can combine trips 😊. It's a bit sad how excited I am about this! Thank you all.
