Hi,
My future mother in law has very kindly offered to contribute to mine and my fianc!’s deposit toward our mortgage as a wedding present.
Has anyone had a gift letter for their mortgage advisor and could give us some pointers on what needs to be written?
Thanks in advance x

if you google it, there are some templates that will help you. We had to do it to. (we used the Natwest one on the google search)
it needs to be along the lines of the money is a gift, there is no share in the property and there is no repayment.0 -
There are lots of example online eg https://www.slough-mortgage.co.uk/gifteddepositlettergenerator.html
Also ask them to prepare 6 months statements from the account that the money is coming from. Ask your solicitor if they accept internet banking statements sent via email, mine did.0 -

Might be worth asking your broker and/or solicitor.
We have one we use but some solicitors use their own.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
