Unbiased Financial Adviser Search

Hi All

Not sure if this is the best place to post this, if not please can I be redirected?

I signed up with unbiased.co.uk through the MSE blog on finding Financial Advisers, and seem to have been automatically matched to an adviser. However, I was hoping to use this service as a search function to do my own research and contact advisers of my own choice. I have received unsolicited calls from this matched adviser, and on the site have been unable to find contact preferences or even delete my account to avoid further contact from other advisers.

Does anyone have any experience with this site that can advise me of contact details for unbiased so that I can request that I am not contacted without consent?

EDIT: That'll teach me for not reading communication thoroughly - I have found a contact email address in the sign up emails.

Unbiased is just a lead generation site.
I have no idea why they call themselves unbiased.

We are on there but only for there free account and we get nothing from them. I am assuming the vast majority of enquiries go to those brokers who pay.

Unbiased used to be a directory for IFAs. Now they include restricted FAs and they turned it into a lead generation site. Couldnt be more further than the website name. This is why most IFAs no longer pay to be on there.

https://adviserbook.co.uk/ is a relatively new directory. However, they verify IFA status and regulatory status.

https://www.thepfs.org/yourmoney/find-an-adviser is one from the biggest professional body. They verify qualifications but they list FAs and IFAs with no way to filter.

If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.
