Redone budget including my wife’s details and outgoings. Luckily she has not debt.

In redoing the budget it has worked out that we can pay off in around 5-6 years apposed to 10 so that’ll make my debtors happy and I believe down the line I can make additional funds available.

The first year budgeting is going to be the hardest but I have done a budget for the next three years and with a bit of tweaking along the way I believe it is acheavable.

We may have to lower the food bill every so often but I do a lot of cooking so I’m contemplating making up a load of meals for the freezer so it’s jusy a matter of getting them the night before and reheating them.

This will also give me a free evening when I get in from work and I know I’m doing this I can make a lot for a small amount of money
  • I've had a DMP before with a company called Baines and Earsnt. I moved property and informed them of my change of address and they explained they would contact the people i owe money to and inform them. They did this with 90% of them, so when Severn Trent Water rejected the DMP offer of £5 a month and wrote to me directly about issuing a CCJ, i never received it.

This led to a CCJ being placed on me, for something that was out of my control. I settled the CCJ immediately as soon as i'd discovered it. (Signed up for a credit score online and discovered i had 2 CCJs)

I eventually went onto to take an IVA out which was a much better option for me, and in a years time i will be completely debt free!!!

My experience of a DMP means i wouldn't recommend them to anyone, unless they had no other choice!!!

That's because you used B&E, who are a fee-paying company. StepChange are a charity, and work very differently.
