Pcp car finance end!

My pcp car contract ended and my car was inspected on the 27th November and I was shown a report for damages. I have heard nothing since how long does it take to be charged as I have money that I now cannot do anything with as I'm waiting to hear back. Any advice appreciated. Thanks

    Ask the finance company?
  • I could but I also don't really want to remind them they haven't charged me yet, it a not a small bill.

But it's one that you owe, and I doubt they will overlook it for 6 years.

Well no-one here can answer how long it will take. As zx81 says they have 6 years to chase the debt.
  • I thought it would be quick, they inspect it then invoice me but heard nothing. I doubt they can come back in 6 years and ask for it!

You may be lucky and they will not pursue you for it, especially is it was an older car and it has gone straight to auction. But if you want to know one way or another then you need to ask....keep it vague...that you havent heard anything since the car went back.
  • What sort of damages are we talking here?

Obviously if depends on the terms of the contract, but ss far as I understand, most pcp contracts will cover you for fair wear and tear.
So anything which occurs over time as a result of the mileage you have put in such as stone chips, plastic fade, wear on the seats, part worn tyres etc should be covered.

Obviously if you have mechanical faults as a result of a lack of servicing, accident damage, missing parts, severely scuffed alloys, large dents or paint scratches then I would imagine you are going to be expected to cough up.

Sounds like you've got it all figured out.
