Didn’t expect to be saving money doing this!

Hello all

I have just realised something...

On an impulse, on 29 December I signed up to do RedJanuary to raise funds for Mind Charity, so many people get the Blues at this time of year and https://www.redjanuary.co.uk start in 2015 when a daughter got this idea to help with her mums depression.

Anyway, RedJanuary is RunEveryDay in January, or walk or swim or cycle, whichever suits you. It was nice to get out for a little run on 1st January and clear the cobwebs, it was a lovely day and after all the excesses of the previous week it left me feeling refreshed.

Back to work the next day so brought in my trainers and a pile of clothes and during my lunch hour went for a trot around the town. I have done the same all week and now realise that instead of going out at lunchtime and mooching around the shop, inevitably buying something I thought I needed (even just loo roll) I haven’t spent a penny (no pun intended lol)! I’m no runner, but just jogging along with music on headphones, I’m raising funds for a good cause and saving money.

And double savings as I am doing DryJanuary too!

Once January is over, (if I can still walk!!!) I am determined to find something else to do at lunch break to avoid the shops!
