Hooray!!!
I can't tell you how pleased I am to be able to you All I've made a payment of £349.81 to finally kill off Debt 1 today. This has been hanging around for so many years and I've finally paid of it all off and before the end of March . I have no doubt that making my pledge here at the start of the year has been a massive contributor to my achievement this morning. Thank you everyone for all your 'likes' and positive posts.
Now to focus on Debt 2!
Have a great day everyone and best of luck with your own goals. I'm off to change my signature
Brilliant news Littletinks!!!! It must be an amazing feeling, especially if its been hanging around. So pleased for you :T:j:j

Week Nine:
So after my disastrous spending week last week, I'm pleased to report that I've really pulled my in reins for the start of our shiny new month of March.
This week:
5 x NSD :T
£ 12.26 VSP
£12.49 eBay
£37.79 shopping
This weekend we had OH son and GF over which was nice. We ended up with a trip to
Ikea (£37.25) followed by a takeaway in the eve paid for by OH. This months expenses will include taking my mum out for a Mothers Day Treat. I also have a week off later in the month, and I was hoping to go away, but I've decided to get some jobs done at home instead. I plan to meet a few friends then too, so will need money for that.
On to week TEN we go, I'm hoping for another low cost week.......

Week 10:
Wow I can't believe I've been posting for 10 weeks 😊
After my visit last week to Ikea, I decided to go back this week and pick up a new storage unit. I've been struggling on how to account for this spending wise, as at the moment my spreadsheet consists of: food, personal budget, DDs, savings then any spare money towards making extra repayments. Perhaps I need a misc category too, but keen not to have too many.
I was going to take the Ikea amount out of my personal spends but then I wld have used up all my allowance plus it's for the home. So I'm thinking this month I won't make any extra repayments. I know this might not sound right, but as I said last week I have a week off soon and as I'm not going away now, I want to catch up and go out with some friends I've not seen for a while. Ther alternative is to reduce the amount I save which as I know ,Ames the most financial sense.
This week:
3 x NSD
£5.41 VSP.
£9.95 pub
£40 take away (had two this week oops)
£ 36.67 shopping
£0.00 eBay
I'm a little concerned I'm going to go over budget this month. This week has taken a hit since I spent £175 in Ikea. I think I might take the take away out of the shopping budget as my shopping budget is the one I'm doing really well with. The meal planning works well. Or maybe I need to move money from there and add some to the personal spend pot. I really don't want more spending categories. However, realistically I guess I set the budgets as a guide to what I think I need in each area. In reality life doesn't always work out this way and as long as it all adds up at the end of the month and I'm staying within the overall budget then I'm okay with that. My aim after all is to clear the £2800 I had at the start of the year spread across two cc's. However to clear this amount it will in fact cost me more as Debt1 (next) was not interest free and Debt 2 is on 4.9% it's only debt3 that's on 0%. I'm still on track and have cleared one so I'm still pleased with my progress so far even if it's not perfect. Tracking my spending here helps me stay focused ....... on to week 112025 52 Week Savings Challenge (£1378) #5 5/52

Week 11 & 12
I guess life just sort of got in the way the last two weeks. I've had my week off and was unwell for some it, but I did have a lovely pampering day and caught up with a couple of friends. I haven't saved as much as I would normally this month, just my DD ISA payment.
I'm going to try and get back on track this week, as I'm at serious risk of things sliding off course otherwise.......

We all fall off track now and then, the good news is that you know you have and are prepared to deal with it
