I like reading people's replies on the annual 'wish to win' thread, but haven't seen one posted yet... so
Other than cold hard cash, what else are you hoping to win?
The ones at the top of my list (that I can think of right now)
Festival tickets
Funusual experiences (e.g. in the past I've won BAFTA tickets, and been to Lotto Millionaire School)
Holiday/Hotel stays
Spam pants
A wheelbarrow
Robot lawnmower and/or vacuum (not to be confused with each other!)
GHDs
Foodie stuff - esp. new products, cookery school, quality equipment
Microwave
Happy new year, and happy comping!

TOP MONEYSAVING TIP
Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!

Don't need it but a good mobile phone, that's initially why I started comping 'cause I wanted to win a new phone, it's never happened so far but it'll always be top of my list (even though I don't need a new phone at the moment).0

an instax camera for my daughter. Not found many at the mo but keep searching every weekThanks to everyone that posts :T:money:

a soup maker - I just use a saucepan for making soup but have a yen for one, just not enough to actually pay for it!
food - love trying food I would not normally buy, but just love food anyway
DAB radio
love a robot hoover too - not sure why, perhaps it's just because it's a new gadget (our cat is very frightened of our hoover - runs away whenever it comes out the cupboard - not sure whether she would be better with one of these?)0 -
Would love a new phone preferably the iphone 8 or above, currently using my partners secondhand one.
Would love to win a new 4K Smart TV as our TV currently has a mind of its own.
My partner has always wanted a robot hoover, so would love to win one for him.
Candles and Vouchers are always welcome and anything towards a wedding.
I love to try new things so anything new is appreciated.Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.0 -
I'd love to win a new laptop. The screen is almost falling off mine.
A hotel stay / spa break
Theatre tickets for my local theatre
A bicycle for my son
Any baby toys etc. for my granddaughter0 -
I'm always grateful for any win, no matter how small. But i'd like to win some concert tickets this year, i'm getting priced out of going to see a lot of bands0

A product of the year goody bag. I've been comping 10 years this year and despite entering all the comps for them every year I've never won one.0

a kitchen aid mixer and a holiday. I have won a holiday every year for the last five so I want to keep up the trendWon a holiday every year since 2014......come on 2021!!
2020 Winnings Value £37500 -
A trip to NYC - the big comping dream!
Kitchen Aid mixer
Soup maker
- They're both things I could just buy myself but I wouldn't use them enough to justify spending that amount of money.
New TV
...and as always, the Silent Night Hippo!sleepyjones wrote: »Don't need it but a good mobile phone, that's initially why I started comping 'cause I wanted to win a new phone, it's never happened so far but it'll always be top of my list (even though I don't need a new phone at the moment).
It's similar for me. I only have a basic phone and don't have much of an actual need for a smartphone, so I'd never buy one just to feel part of the in crowd. Winning a much better quality one would be nice though.0 -
Ooh, I love these posts.
I'm also happy with any win because I don't enter for stuff I don't want.
Top of my list would be experience based prizes, holidays etc.
Next would be technology that I would enjoy but can't afford or justify buying such as a new TV, iPad or laptop.
Anything food or kitchen related would bring a huge smile to my face.
My fave prize was a Nikon SLR camera because there was no way on earth I would have been able to afford to buy it and I still use it regularly.
I would actually prefer these kind of prizes to cash because I don't do it for the money. For me it's the anticipation of the postman and a few little things that would make life nicer.
Wishing everyone the best of luck for 2019 and I'm looking forward to reading success stories in IWIWIW.0
