How to make HM pasta bake for storage?

Apologies for the strange thread title! I buy homepride pasta bakes (mainly spicy tomato, tomato & bacon and creamy carbonara) because I find them so convenient. To the untrained (;)) you pour dry pasta into a pyrex then cover with the jar of sauce, and half a jar of water. Bung in oven for 20 min, then stir & cover with grated cheese & bake for another 20 mins. I serve up with garlic bread - perfect lazy cooking after a day at work.
But I'm getting fed up with the choice of bakes & the cost (not to mention carrying them from morrisons!). I've saved the jars, so can I pre make them say on a sunday ready to knock up easy weeknight meals - will they last, how do I make tomatoes creamy etc? I'm a novice!!
