Fit note for one job while working other

Hi, sorry this may be a long one! I recently broke my arm very badly and had surgery on Christmas Eve. I have 2 part time jobs - one in a primary school and one working with young people with challenging behaviours. I need a fit note for my 2nd job as I can't do it safely until my arm has healed (my employer agrees with this) but feel well enough to work at the primary school with risk assessments in place (and can't really afford to take the time off!) Can I work one job while on the sick from the other? To complicate matters further both jobs are working for the same local council although at different establishments! Tia x

    Legally yes.

Let's say you were a clerical position during the day and a bouncer at night. The principle is the same.

However your employer would have to agree, and they may not.

Speak to your employer. They are the only people who can say whether or not they will allow it.
