Hello
I got a mail out from Pixmania today and they had the above offer.
Here's how it will work:
Go to the following link:
http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/104183/art/toshiba/stasia-27wl55-16-9-27-68.html?idt=56455516&tag=mail_uk_uk_2005-05-31_5621
TV is retailing at £499. Place in basket.
Go to checkout. Choose standard delivery (£8.80)
Enter promotional code: TOSHIBA-UK
This will give a 10% discount.
Make sure that you do NOT subscribe to the Zen Engagement and the grand total should be...
£457.90 all in.
I don't know what the quality is like of the TV or whether it is an end of line model, but on the face of it, it seems like a good quality TV. I am also aware that some people have had poor exepreineces with Pixmania. Personally I have not, however, before purchase I would also suggest reading the reviews of the company (on Pricerunner, etc)

Looks a good offer but apparently is a French model and Toshiba UK wont fix it should it go wrong, but would have to ship it to France.
I got that info from AVforums

WRONG. Any product bought within the EU can be returned to a service centre within the EU. So if the TV comes from France you can take it to ANY service centre within the EU to be repaired. That's EU law.Don't blame me, it was like that when I got here!0 -
Toshiba confirmed (to a member of the AVForums) that they would attempt to repair it in the UK but that it would need to be returned to Pixmania if this was not possible. Personally I don't have a problem with that as I would say that it is unlikely that the set will fail within the 12mth warranty period and even more unlikely that any fault would be unrepairable.
I received my TV a few days ago and am very happy with it indeed. You can find pictures of it in action on my website (address below), as well as a FAQ covering the questions that were asked on the AVForums thread.
Unfortunately the 10% off code given in the first post has now expired.
Edit - code removed.0 -
Taken from Online Vouchers: The Rules and GuidanceThe 'Source' convention
When you post codes, each and every time please note the 'source' of these codes and the fact that they can be used by all (if they cannot be used by all, but just a closed user group ( then unless that is a large group e.g. only NHS workers, in which case state this explicity) then don't post it.
If someone has not put the source, please do not use them. You could be committing fraud. Firms are becoming more sensitive to misuse of their vouchers.
The best thing to do is question the poster over the source. If no reasoned answer is forthcoming, either ignore the post, or better still report it to the Abuse Controller.0 -
Thanks wirm. Apologies for not reading the rules prior to posting. I've now removed the code.0
