Using small windfall to possibly help gain employment/increase income

I have very kindly been given £3000 by a relative.

I'm currently not working due to ill health and disability.

But I would like to be working and have a few ideas but don't know how realistic they are.

The idea is to use the money to get IT equipment which would allow me to work at home.

Possible work: virtual secretary, copywriting, tefl taught remotely via Skype or similar (would need to do a course to qualify for this and would need to research this too. I already have a relevant bachelors degree).

And if anyone else knows of other jobs I could do like this that are writing/communication based jobs?

I really want to work again, I want to not only have the extra income but feel useful and have a purpose to my life.

But I'm also worried about this forcing a move to UC I'm currently still on legacy benefits.

I'd also need to have some regularity/security of income (I know good luck with that with UC!) as the major issue is my mental health and the stress of money worries would make me more ill.

But I want out of this rut I'm in and maybe (over optimistic?) get off benefits altogether.

If anyone has any advice or knowledge of this type of thing I'd be very grateful.
