I've had a nice day out in Newcastle, only got a few bits from Lush, and I'm only keeping half of my Space NK birthday gift, as I'm going to send the other two bits to someone who's in one of the Facebook groups I'm in as they want to try them
Love Newcastle. Emma is at Uni there. We were there not so long ago when we took her back and planning another visit in Feb.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. 21 Ateliar Cologne Palomo Pariadis body lotion This was lovely.
22 L'Occitane Verbena body lotion Pulled this out to use today and it's gone off. Had a strong wax crayon smell to it. Have decided I will throw away all the L'Occitane body lotions I have now as I don't know how old they are. Will sort this out later.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. One UU from last night:
By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water 5ml sample WPNB as a full size. I wanted to like this but it didn't really do anything. Hm.0 -
From yesterday:
UU: Lush Shoot for the Stars Bath Bomb
IN: Happy Naturals Sleek and Smooth Plum and Keratin Conditioner: Sainsburys seem to stock a few vegan friendly hair ranges at the mo so I got this as I have been using a Lush solid conditioner but finding it is really drying my hair out, so will rotate between the two.0 -
One UU today:
Avene Eau Thermale Spray 300ml WBA. This lasted me a long time. I like to use this before I apply certain toners/essences/lotions. May look into other mists to use, but I'll stick with this for price and the size you get.0 -
TA
L’Or!al infallible foundation - wrong shade, not that impressed
Rimmel Wonderfully Real mascara - does not dry!!
INs
Max Factor Radiant Lift foundation
Max Factor Dark Magic mascara
Max Factor False Lash Epic mascara
Max Factor Volume Infusion mascara
Max Factor bronzer, light gold - current bronzer too dark for winter
Max Factor Colour Corrector Stick,
yellow under eye concealer - why oh why do I keep doing this when I know I don’t get really on with concealers? :-/0 -
Can anyone recommend a cheaper version of liz Earle cloth cleanser? I blinking love it but it’s pricey. Are the super drug ones any good?
Few UUs
Gilchrist and soams shampoo 40ml WNBA quite drying
S&G flake away 50ml WBA love this and the smell....but I have various other scrubs in the stash
Soft and gentle deodorant: I prefer Mitchum but it did the job
Lush cherry bomb WPNBA it’s very pretty but the smell is just OK
Lush Autumn lead bomb HG only 2 left in stash and they don’t make them anymore (they were a Halloween exclusive a few years ago)
Lush sheep bubble bar: WPBA nice smell, bit weak but this is very old. Really softening bath though
Still working hard to get through my first moisturiser! My skin feels lovely but the patch of excema on my hand still won’t go!0 -

Lacura from ALDI is a pretty good dupe IMHO. I’d say that it smells a bit stronger but not off putting. I have tried others in the past (a long time ago) but remember they didn’t smell of eucalyptus which I like. Remember trying the Superdrug one and Soap and Glory I remember that was nice but the packaging was a pain - was a metal tube like L’Occitane hand cream. HTH.
Are you using a hand cream on your hands? The L’Occitane shea one is nice as are Bath and Body Works shea handcreams but you’d probably have to try and find a fragrance free one so as not to irritate your skin.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. 23 and 24 - 2 x L'Occitane Verbena body lotion TA. Mentioned in last post.
25 L'Occitane Ultra Shea body lotion travel size GA to a friend at work who loves this product. I've decided that life is too short to contend with difficult packaging.
26 L'Occitane Perfecting cream sample sachet WNB.
27 L'Occitane Nuit Serum sample sachet WNB
28 L'Occitane Almond oil sample sachet. All these samples came with the products that I bought for MRM for Christmas. He likes their aftershave balm, foot cream and Cedrat shower gel and I think these will probably be the only products that I buy from them from now on. He does also like to take the Almond Oil on holiday so I'll repurchase this at some point. It all comes down to accessibility for me now. I used to love visiting their boutique in the Trafford Centre but then they closed it and this is the only place that we actually shop. I sometimes go into Manchester on my own and visit the L'Occitane store. I like shopping at the Outlet at Cheshire Oaks but it's rare that we go there. I haven't bought any L'Occitane from QVC for a long time as they seem to sell the same old same old. I do actually still like their Repairing Shampoo and probably will repurchase at some stage if I don't find a good cheaper alternative. I'm still getting frizzy hair so maybe need to return to using the John Frieda one that I liked. There is however a Tweak'd TSV coming up on QVC on 26 January 2019 and I may invest in a shampoo from them if it's in the kit (depending on price).
I've opened a Burts Bees body lotion - travel size and once this has gone I will only have 2 x full sized lotions (Dove and the E45 one I bought this week).
IN: Lacura Q10 night cream. Happy to try at this low price. It does contain retinol.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge.
