My mum stopped logging on to PB while on holiday and then got out of the habit for a couple of weeks. She found that her account had disappeared when she tried to re-start, her e-mail addy 'did not exist' etc etc.
She is the only computer user in the house, and nobody else had a PB account so there could not be any suspicion of duplication!
As an experiment I sent her a new invitation - but it was not delivered, so obviously the PB system knew she was an existing member.
