think your self lucky as over a year ago you would have got less back than your stake.. pigsback had to change it to make sure you at least got your stake back if a lot of people back the same winner as appears to have happened here
oh and i got 230 points back for a 50p stake on the x factor so better odds on that one thenThose we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,

It is so annoying - far more annoying than the repeat posts!
Manners and courtesy apply in all walks of life, and on the net it is usually considered bad manners to repeat posts. Normally, folks are expected to have read the thread they contribute to so as to avoid repetition.
But these PB threads get so long that people don't have chance to read everything if they have normal family and working lives. So here we normally have a more laid back approach to repeat posts.
Nevertheless, there seems little benefit to anyone in submitting something that appeared in the last few posts. I'm certainly not going to get steamed up about it, though!
Peace and love to all at this festive time of year.

TBH I'd rather have a link posted twice than not at all. If people continue to make digs then it's going to make other members, especially new ones, very nervous about making posts as they may think that if they post something wrong, some of the board members will draw unnecessary attention to a petty error which doesn't actually really affect anything.
Anyway, not mentioning any names but I've seen members post a link after someone else has already posted it and then the next day complain because someone else has done exactly the same thing... Hypocrites?
Lol just chucking in my 2 cents worth**Thanks to everyone on here for hints, tips and advice!**:D

Anyway I have a friend who needs to buy a ticket - could I do this via my pigsback account? and use my email address as the contact details? As they don't have a computer and probably won't want to set up an account just for this purpose. TVM
Also to repeat you don't have to be travelling with that train company - for a moment I thought it was my local company in which case I was going to offer my sympathy if you were ...
And yes I know other people have already said thisbut I thought it would bear repeating.
While we're talking about duplicate posting, the other way it can happen is if you do things my way: I usually open quite a few MSE pages at once, and work my way through them gradually. If I want to answer a post I'll click on 'quote' to open in a new tab, and carry on reading. If I'm using IE as my browser, that tab is the next one I come to so I sometimes give my answer, close that tab and realise there's another 16 pages with more of the same.
And with the PB thread, I do the PB quizzes and clickthroughs as they come up. If I also wander off and make a cuppa and forget to refresh when I get back, the thread has sometimes moved on without me realising.
If all I'd posted was a clickthrough I'd probably delete my post, but if I'd spent quite a few minutes carefully crafting my reply (as here) then I'd tend to leave it. And I'm with DS, if we just ignored the duplicate posts the thread would be half its length, or less, wouldn't it?
Wondering how many more posts there have been since I started this, having been interrupted by a phone call about my oven which hasn't come for the SECOND day in a row! :mad:Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Does anyone know how long it takes to get the points from Next Directory. I registered a few weeks ago, had an account set up & purchased something, but still no points, any ideas?0

That could have been me, but it was a mistake.
I find it annoying when people repost.
Yes we can all do it and I have done it myself, but I always try and look through the thread first to make sure it has not already been posted but mistakes happen and some people are to quick for me.0 -
