What a faff, thank goodness I like crispy towels. Tumble drying and ironing costs money.

A brisk rub down is great for exfoliation, and makes the skin glow.

I used to have crispy towels. Now I tumble dry them and they are lovely and soft.

I'm not keen on crispy towels although I notice they become soft after a couple of uses.

Now I do use fabric conditioner when I wash the towels. At that rate one bottle lasts about 6 months.

For the people suggesting tumble drying, my house is too small for one. And I bought the heated atlas an alternative as it folds flat for storage, it will only be used once a week really so would rather use that and an outside line.
I’ve only lived here for 2 weeks and haven’t sorted the outside line out yet, I’ll be sorting it out soon so can work out how best to get things dry and soft.

I’ve always used fabric conditioner in towels (well everything really).
I’ve never heard not to and to use vinegar instead.
I hot wash on 60 with fabric con and then tumble dry, they are soft and fluffy.
  • i dont have a tumble dryer but hang my clothes on 2 airers in bedroom, have a dehumidifier on and a fan to move air around in the room no crispy ness
  • Try washing them as normal then put them through a hot wash with no washing powder...

This would remove any build up of washing powder.

Before you add vinegar, kindly check your wm's manual. Mine expressly states not to use vinegar, as it will erode certain parts.
