I was just checking my e-mail and came accross this sent presumably by pigsback. Now me being an old synic and nearly getting caught out once by an e-mail from paypal which wasn't from paypal I don't trust these sort of e-mails. I was hoping someone may be able to verify if it is for real or not.

I would say it is fake, if you hover over the link, it will show you the link in the ie status bar,( they grey bar at the bottom), when I hovered over the link, it did not directly link to pigsback, it went to some odd address first.
Surely pigsback links would be www.pigsback.com/whatever.asp, this duid not say anything like this. i would be very cautious on this one.

another thing I wouldn't think this is a pigsback email, as they wouldn't send emails like this, Yahoo email is fine and they wouldn't have problems with any email address this is old hat nowadays no one has issues sending emails, only when they are typed wrong. you can raise a question with them, I would be suprised if it was a real email.
