Help with old debts

Hi can anyone offer advice. Not posted before.
I was in a DMP for quite a few years with Money Debt & Credit. They ceased trading as a DMP and suggested using a solicitor to investigate whether my outstanding debts were enforceable or not.
Those that were provided proof apart from idem and PRG. PRG had issued a default in 2015 so they have disappeared but Idem sent the familiar letter - not enforceable but we will pursue you etc etc.
When my DMP ended as mentioned above I was told to stop payments back in 2016/17 whilst solicitors did their thing, however idem have chased relentlessly and threatened default and home visits from 3rd party debt collection etc. I have chosen to ugnore them after the debt was found unenforceable but doubt a default on my credit file dated in November ????
Can they do this? Can u get the default removed ?
Any suggestions welcome.
Many thanks 😩

Sorry typo - I found a default logged on my credit file from November. Are they legally able to do this after confirming debt is unenforceable?0
