Fit note without seeing a GP?

My GP has given me backdated sick notes in the past in order to provide a continuous period of sickness for the job centre. To all the people asking why the OP hasn't been to the GP, the typical waiting time for an appointment is 4 weeks at many practices.
You can always get an urgent appointment on the day.
OP should have followed the sickness policy of their company and not simply stayed at home.0 -

GPs can backdate certs for an ongoing sickness. They shouldn't backdate a cert at the start of a claim to any date prior to an appointment being requested.0
