I managed another £150 overpayment yesterday!
So I'm now at £452.58 of my £1,530 - 29.5% of my 1% target. All being well I should be over 30% by the end of the month! :j

    Overpayments really are addictive!

    Great progress everyone.

I managed 49.62 this month so far. Which is 3.93% of the 1%. Will have to find the £1.33 to get it to the round 4%!

Good start to February here thanks to it being a council tax free month. £162.08 from 'free' council tax money and interest siphoned off savings account.

    £407.57 to go!

So this week I have been focussed on mortgage overpayments, sticking to my budget, whilst keeping one eye on future expenses (Like my Cars Service & MOT which is tomorrow!).

What this has meant is that this week I overpaid £286.57.
This was a mixture of moving interest from savings accounts and lump sums.
    Total 2019 overpayments are now £739.15 - 48.3% of my 1%

    £790.85 to go! Whoop Whoop

You guys are all doing brilliantly!

We now have a mortgage to overpay at least, but we won't be doing it this month as have needed to do/get too much for the house.

However, I still have that £15 (1% of my 1%) set aside so that's something. :p

Great idea for a challenge. I have just over 100 months to go and have been focusing on extra overpayments to knock a month off. A 1% challenge will definitely help with that. Be back with some sums tomorrow!
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!
