Moneyfordreams wrote: »I think I will join this. 1% of my total debt is £1280. We moved house in May 2018 and the cost of renovations is running away with us. mostly funded on 0% cc. (currently around£14000  )
By summer my aim is to reduced cc by half . The latter half of 2019 will be bathroom, kitchen and drain renvovations i hope. Therefore not a great deal left to OP.
We also have a big holiday in March for my OH 60th and need to save for my 50th March 2020
1% may be small but with all else going on it's a stretch. I also need to pay off the only cc with interest 1st
Wow, an eye opener... I was going to ignore I joined this challenge, however I thought I would do the maths. I am £40 short of my target :j:j:j , if you add my December salary payments around the 28th I will have smashed it by £460… my house renovations did not got to plan... or I just changed the plan. This year we have had outside work, painting and patio, Drains and new bathroom, new carpets bedroom, landing and stairs. hall replastered, decorated and new glazing... We still have to do the kitchen....but that's next year now. I did take more on a cash lump sum from a 0% cc.. I'm very surprized to be below in what I thought has been a high spend year (or 2
) Next year my aim is to cut£20k off debt and still get the kitchen completed ( fingers crossed )
