CCA Request - please help

Hi all,
New to this forum, so sorry in advance if this is the wrong place. I've done lots of research and searching across this and other forums, and I'm so confused about what is and isn't correct on requested a CCA.
I have a total debt of just shy of £40k, mainly on credit cards with a loan. Biggest creditor by far is Barclays / Barclaycard. I have a DMP in place with Stepchange, and have for the last 12 months. Paying c. £770 a month in debt plan payments to get the overall debt down.
My 2 x Barclaycard balances were sold on to PRA Group in the last couple of weeks, and I'm considering doing a CCA with them, mainly to strengthen my position in potentially negotiating a F&F settlement if the debt proves unenforceable (and as such a huge % of the balance is interest Barclaycard have slammed on, I don't feel so bad about some of it being written off), borrowing money from a family member who has offered up to £2k to help. This would need to be a 10-15% settlement on the Barclaycard balance (long shot I know)
According to the original letter from PRA:
CARD 1
Original date: October 2006
CARD 2
Original date: November 2008
If I do a CCA request, for both these cards can they just supply the headlines of the agreement (addresses, %, credit limit etc) or will they need to supply the original documents signed by me? I doubt they have the required detail as both these cards have been through various iterations (one started as a Premier Credit Card linked to my bank account, which then rolled into a Gold card and then into a Platinum card)
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi,
A reconstructed copy of your credit agreement is acceptable, it does not have to be the original signed document.
The account that pre-dates April 2007 must also include the prescribed terms in force at the time of signing, this is were many creditors fall down.
Your request must be made in writing, preferably using the excellent template letter available from the National Debt line website, and accompanied by the £1 statutory payment.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. A s77-79 CCA Request is for ‘information’ purposes not ‘proof’ purposes.
This means that documentation sent in response to your request may satisfy the former but not the latter. So a debt may still be unenforceable in court.
