Be more realistic and buy a car thats more affordable insurance wise and running costs. Many cars out there for £2000, even more for £1000, if you know anyone who is a mechanic who knows about cars eg they do maintenance in spare time then take them with you whne you go and look at a car.
Once you have had the £1k/£2k car for a year then you sell it and buy another 1 so you work your way up to buy the vxr.0 -
An 18 year old driving a performance car will cost a fortune in insurance.
You will struggle to get a loan of that amount at barely 18.
Starting off your adult life in debt is not a good idea.
To acquire a good credit rating a credit card is a good start where you pay it off in full each month. You will only be given a small limit to start with so it won't help with the car.
My advice would be buy an old sensible cheap car with cash to start with. The insurance will be lower too. Save the performance cars for when you are older and can afford them.
I would dispute most phones are over £1k btw.

It is possible, a family friend's son got a car on finance through CarShop the day after his 18th birthday. Funnily enough he was advised strongly against it, but didn't listen, and is now regretting it.0

It's a way of saying "go away". Urban Dictionary says it's more aimed at !!!!!.

Joking aside, I tied myself up with a loan at 20 years old (over 20 years ago now) to buy a performance car 'back in the day' and was still paying for it long after I'd sold it on...0
