Day 1

Though fairly organised with finances (in that I’m obsessed with my excel spreadsheet and attempts to tackle my mammoth debt), it just doesn’t go down.

Current status is (joint debt with hubby)
Halifax loan £18000 (from 20k) 12.9%
Halifax loan £12300 (from 13k) 13.9%
Barclaycard £5k (just negotiated new rate of 9.9% for two years)
Halifax CC £3650 @ 0% till April 20
Next approx 1k @ ridiculous apr 24ish?

Should add that I use the bcard as general spending through month them pay a large chunk from disposable income each month, this isn’t working though as I’m now nearing the £6k limit and also appalled that I’m nearing £40 worth of debt.

I’m a homeowner with approx 24k equityand we have ok incomes (me £25k p/t but also have nursery vouchers £243/salary sacrifice for car £350) (hubby £38k)

I wanna be debt free and quick!!!

  • Hi there Ifiwasarichgirl

Good advice from pidge about soa.

I would add stop using your card for monthly spends. It needs to go down, not up!

This is not a quick journey but you can do it.

    Merry Christmas!
