DD2 wants us to go to theirs for Christmas dinner, which I’m totally down for
Thumper can play with his presents then.
PEPPAPIG thankyou, a brexit box is really what MANDCO said, a few extra bits that we use, that we wouldn’t want to be without. Just in case, I laughed at DD1 in the beginning but the amount of anger in this country, we just don’t know what will happen. I’m already having some trouble getting my hrt
MANDCO no that’s exactly how I feel, I never know if it’s the fibro, colitis or diabetes! Some of the symptoms are the same!
PRINCESSKITTY thankyou my lovely
NIC how are you feeling?
I’m feeling a bit brighter, thank you for askingI have been trying to take my self out of negative situations and taking more care of my needs.
I also have a brexit stash. I had a bit of a meltdown and bought loads of tins, bread flour, yeast, uht milk and toilet paper. I told folk at work and they thought I had lost it. But I keep adding to it and I feel a bit happier knowing it’s there as a back up. It’s all stuff with long dates and will get used through next year anyway. I did have to take myself off a brexit prep board as they really go for it. I was getting anxiety that I wasn’t prepared enough.
Not sure who was looking for the sweetie tubes, but Home Bargains had loads. Including the orange smartie ones.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

Tins of biscuits are alway my go to as well. Especially for my older aunties etc. The Foxes ones and Shortbread are always a winner here. I need to wait to nearer Christmas to buy them though, or else they would all be gone:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Free - glad you were able to treat yourself, I always find when I have money to treat myself, I can never find quite what I want!
JJ - I saw lots of sloth home items in New Look last week.
Nic - Sorry to hear you're not feeling yourself, I had a horrendous year last year, unfortunately I couldn't find any medication that suited me once the initial high wore off and the GP weren't any support other than sympathetic nods. I can't offer much than, try and look after yourself as much as possible, my biggest problem was learning to say no to things that caused me stress! It's still a work in progress. Just seen your latest post, my youngest is conkers mad at the moment, so we've made a little display with candles and conkers! maybe another thing to add, your display sounds lovely.
Beshki - That farmshop sounds amazing!
Thank you. On Monday the weather was glorious, so myself and my youngest DD (8) went a nice autumn walk to the cemetery. We like to walk around and acknowledge the old graves that no one visits anymore. While we were there we spotted a conker tree. We gathered a few and some nice autumn leaves and fern on the way back and added them to our display. Gives me pleasure to see it, it also gave us a lovely walk and a bit of fun.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
sains toys sale started today and it was crazy my local store isn't that big so they don't stock much but people were clearing shelves and there wasn't much left by 9am  managed to pick up a couple of bit though
Smyths have some 1/2 price toys
The boots points event is this week its running fri to sun £10 worth of points on £50 spend in store or £60 online
Ordered a few bits from the works including a cocktail making book for dd's hamper and a couple of calendars for stocking fillers £1.50/£3 with matching diary and got the extra 25% off a £10 spend too.
seen a few posts suggesting that the sains double up is happening at the end of the month which will be great if its truethis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
I have two mobile phones to buy as presents. Both have a bit of money off them at the moment and so I would like to buy them and put them away, but do you think it’s better waiting until closer to the time? I’m thinking of perhaps if something is faulty with them upon first using etc, warranty’s?
I think it depends on who you are buying for how much you would be saving and how much you are spending. I've brought things early for the kids and make some decent savings that way but I've checked they worked ect before wrapping which may not be an option depending on who you are buying for.
Warranty wise its usually 12 months from purchase so would lose 2 months worth if you buy now not such a problem on a cheaper item but could make a huge difference on a more expensive item.this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
