GTQ- WOW! You are well on track with your Christmas baking x
Well the weather is blooming awful today! Typical as we have artificial grass being delivered, plus an outdoor rug that I have coveted for ages ( I blame IG!) . I doubt we will get much use out of either delivery today :rotfl::rotfl:.lovin' this site!

Quiet in here again.
Finally the artificial grass is down! Do not believe all the videos and "how to" articles out there- its hard work! Probably because we were working in a very small area tbh. It looks good though so Im a happy bunny.
Hope everyone is Ok xx.lovin' this site!

Hi,great stuff with your daughter Nic.Well Done.
I can't believe you have started Christmas cakes GTQ,talk about being organised.
Glad you are enjoying your new grass murie, when is the garden party?
So I have booked a hair appointment for next week as part of the self care kick.I must say I am feeling a whole lot better. The wheel chair has gone in the shed today,Not sorry to see the back of that. The drawers saga continues. It is looking a lot more navy but the paint is so strange even before I mixed in black paint. It's like liquid plastic which doesn't want to stick. It reminds me of out door stuff for furniture.Anyhow if you so much as look at it, it peels a bit off so now I am in the throes of varnishing it.Thats 2 undercoats,3 top coats and a coat of varnish so far!
We have been to book a holiday today. In 8 weeks we will be in Turkey.Paid in full from all our sales. We have about £100 left so need to get back in the loft to make some spending money.
I need to go and help Mr V load the car for a car boot sale tomorrow. When I say help I mean supervise.
I have been thinking about Christmas this morning and researching loccitane and burts bees for the kids.Thought they could have that and some money.Kids 28,26 and 17 btw. What do you call grown up offspring?

Morning Folks!
I am usually spotted lurking around Old-Style...and sometimes popping upon Disability.....is there room for another Christmas-Devotee here???
I adore Christmas...partly because of my faith...and partly because it's a terrific occasion for all!
My roots are German...and so a lot of our family traditions focus on Christmas Eve...but I am definitely one for "keeping Christmas in your heart all year long"!
My living room has a little corner that is 'forever Christmas'..I have a beautiful wooden nativity scene with all the characters having 'blank' faces...as an Autistic woman, I just love the lack of confusing facial expressions...and form many years I have decided NOT to pack it away but have a Nativity Scene on all year round...and last year I got a lovely Victorian-esque lamppost which I immediately decided was from Narnia and that too stays in the lounge all year.
I love crafting ...being disabled I like to keep myself busy when I can manage it...but I am also SLOOOOOOOOOW...so I start early...so far I am half way through the knitting of items for the Operation Christmas Child boxes (bags, purses, and sometimes hats and pencil cases get knitted)...and I will soon make a start on my hand-made (embroidered) cards....also time to start working on the giant quiz I do for Mum every Advent (spread over4 Advent Sundays)...I sometimes feel12 months isn't enough preparation time!
So that's a bit about me!...Disability means I can be a tad 'intermittent' with posting...but looking forward to lots of festive friendliness over here!0
