Hi. Please could I ask. I would like to get some things ready for Christmas Day but I don’t have any room in the freezer left. So could I make mash today and put it in the fridge for Tuesday or is it far to early. Also some veg like carrots and parsnips Thank you

Look at it like this, if you had left overs today would you eat them on Tuesday, I would.:)The person who never makes a mistake never learns anything.0

Don't forget that you'll need to get some things defrosting in the fridge, but if you're roasting parsnips, they'll cook easily enough without being boiled first. I wouldn't personally do the 'sweet' veg this far in advance because they'll a) take up space you need for defrosting and b) go off quicker than things like potatoes.
You can freeze mash easily, though, so I'd swap that with something that needs defrosting.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
I prepare these and put them in the fridge ready for Christmas day:
Carrot batons - peeled (if necessary), cut up and put in a ziplock bag.
Parmesan parsnips a la Delia - prepared up to the point of roasting, put on trays and covered with clingfilm.
Prepare veg like broccoli and sprouts and put them in ziplock bags ready for roasting/boiling.
Potatoes - peeled and cut up and put in pan of cold water on Christmas Eve. I leave the pan on the worktop as it doesn't tend to be kept in the fridge, but not before C Eve.0 -
If the weather has been cold enough I've been known to keep vegetables in the car boot to save on fridge space.0

If you have a shed or greenhouse with a door that closes, keep your friege stuff in that. I have a lean to that's freezing now, so all the veg is out on tops.
You can defrost things outside too instead of the fridge.
What else did you want to do ahead?Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Just the veg really. We have drinks in the back room they are cold because the heating is off in there. I can do some tomorrow so will do it then0
