Pension value down = good time to invest ?

Alex, interested to know your thinking as to why you would switch to ITs when there is a big crash rather than just rebalancing back by investing more into your equity funds?
ITs are my last resort for if the stock market weakens further after I had released all my cash and bonds into equities. My 10% cash has now gone into equities and I am starting to convert my overall 20% bonds down to 15%. My guess is that this dip is not 'the big one' people have been so gleefully anticipating.
