Buying in Canada

Options
I've just bought some flowers for my friend for Christmas from Bloomex. A Canadian website. I converted it from GBP to CD. While processing at the checkout it comes up with a message stating that it will not be paid for in CD it will be paid for in USD. So I was thinking it would be $30 and it goes up to $45! But I'm not actually sure what they are charging me as they haven't sent an email to confirm, just an email for CD! I emailed to cancel straight away and they are refusing as they are stating it is Christmas. They aren't out for delivery until tomorrow! Should it not be my bank charging for any fees for the currency conversion, not them changing currency and then again being charged on top of that? It seems highly unfair it wasn't stated clearly and that I can't cancel the order etc. They are totally inflexible and not willing to budge an inch.
