Weather's turning. Got the kids to all try on their winter coats and wellies, pleasantly surprised to find only 2 out of the 5 need new coats. I tend to but from Next or John Lewis, but err on the side of size generosity to get two winters out of coats. Wellies, asda or similar does the job and only 3 need them, relatively painless.DFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)

@mark55man one of the funniest things I've seen all day!
I didn't even want 1 but wouldn't give him up for anything now, well maybe unlimited funds to do with whatever I liked hahaha. Wife would thought she wanted 3 before she had 1; now happy with 1 thank god.2 -

Hope you're feeling better soon.If money was no object and I didn't need to work (which I find gets harder the more kids you have), I'd have had another. My youngest is 5 now though and I'm 42, so I wouldn't go there now. We may get a puppy instead. It's good that you are happy with one, it can cause major problems in relationships where one wants more children than the other. It's not really something you can compromise on easily!

Still felt mega rough this morning, I said to my boss that I'd either take it off sick or work at home doing online mandatory training and CPD. She agreed to the latter, so I'm currently in bed in my joggers with a hot chocolate and a water bottle wading my way through endless modules. I'm thinking I can whizz through them by 2 and then chillDFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)

It was a good plan, I feel much more human today and I'm not back at work now until Monday anyway. All e-learning and mandatory training up to date and I logged a couple of CPD hours too
All our funds are allocated this month, pots sorted and £250 slush money left in joint account. We've got half term this month, so think we'll keep that in there to do a couple of nice things with the kids.DFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)
