My DD bought the small coffee maker for my DGS as a birthday present and it has those pod things are the Aldi ones OK to use in the machines as she said 12 are about £4.50 odd in MrT's Ben drinks coffee constantly;) so its going to be expensive for her

Amazon sell several different brands of compatible pods,with reviews, which might be helpful. Much cheaper than buying from Nespresso.

I have had a Nespresso machine for many years and have tried various capsules but still find the Nespresso ones work best and taste best. They are no dearer than anywhere else as they start at £3.30 for a pack of 10. They are much easier to pick up now as they have a lot more "boutiques" around the country, and if you join the Nespresso Club as they send regular emails with good offers - the last one was a £15 credit on your account to use on next purchase, and delivery is quick and free if you purchase 100 pods.

I've not tried the Aldi ones but I like Taylors of Harrogate - can be had for £2.50 for 10 in Sainsbury; L'Or are OK - £3 for 10.

It depends on the style of coffee you prefer as well. If you find one you like - it might be worth a bit extra. M'wife really likes Rosabaya from the Nespresso range so I will pay full price for that.

I’ve tried the Nesspreso ones many times and the 10 for £1 capsules from cheaply shops the proper ones are better but imho not worth the extra the cheap ones much of a muchness.

TBH I buy the Nespresso ones as I prefer them. The Aldi Ristretto is OK though.


I also like Rosabaya and not tasted any lookalikies similar to that one.
